Mr. Rao joined CommandLink in 2023 as VP of AI and Product Development.

Mr. Rao is a seasoned telecom professional who has built and helped launch complex telecom and cloud products to market. Most recently, he developed AI-based predictive routing machine learning models for customer contact center management solutions. His cloud-automated Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) service solution increased voice traffic more than 10X.

Mr. Rao has held various senior leadership positions at industry leading software companies including Genesys, Bandwidth.com and Nortel.  He led diverse teams that were multi-site and global. His prior role was Director, AI Engineering and Voice Solutions at Genesys.

Mr. Rao also holds four technology patents and is the author of IETF IP standards. Mr. Rao has also won many leadership awards for customer focus, innovation, and design.

He holds an MBA from Kenan-Flagler School of Business, University of North Carolina and a Master’s degree in Computer Science from University of New Haven

Mr. Rao enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, playing chess and is an avid Tar Heel fan.
