There are 3 different priorities levels associated with any incident or case:
• Normal (low) priority – A small number of users are affected.
• Medium priority – A moderate number of users are affected.
• High or urgent priority – A large number of users are affected.

If an incident or case is not acknowledged as per configured response times (default or customer managed), then the escalation policy takes effect.

Escalation policies can be defined for low, medium, or high priorities.
